I just did my little bit in a wedding for the first time. I was the usher/candle-lighter for Krystal's wedding. Most of you know that she was my babysitter/nanny/mother for most of my childhood. She got married to this guy Adam, who's really nice and timid and he won't abuse her or mistreat her and she seems to be more into him than I initially thought, so that's a good sign. My part in the wedding of escorting Adam's grandmother came off quite well and I had no trouble lighting the extensive 7-candle candleabra. Then I retired to the back and watched the wedding and then we went over to the reception where Krystal met Meredith, who has come in town to visit Zatch for a week. I was joking with her about how she was going to scandalize the entire congregation with her strapless dress. It was classy though and she didn't look at all trampy so she got away with it without too many stares from fire-and-brimstone baptists.

And plus I saw BG today at Clumpie's, which we dropped in on after eating downstairs at River Street Deli.

And last night I went to Scarbro's house to play volleyball and all and it sucked, mostly because Scarbro was ruining Barb's birthday and there were several of us who were just watching her grow angrier and angrier with each and every word out of his mouth. Yikes. I hate it when Barb gets sullen and victimized because it takes a whole hell of a lot to break her out of the mood. (You're gonna have to get over that, it's Crunkfest!! Ahh!).

My endeavors to arrange the Cedar Point trip are meeting with considerable resistance from the forces that be. Sam's parents are making excuses why he can't go (money for instance, to which I told him I'd pay for his ticket). Haleigh has been playing games such that I've moved the dates to accomodate her dainty schedule a total of THREE times and she still isn't happy with it. BG has to go to Furman on the dates. Thank GOD Katie McCall can come. Sttacy and Becki hate roller coasters. Shivan's dad is on a power-trip and saying he won't let him go although I suspect Shivan will be able to go in the end. Scarbro says he has to see with his supervisory panel whether or not he can go. And if he can't go, then I'll invite Barb, because I wasn't about to have both Scarbro and Barb come, but I felt that I needed to invite Scarbro out of a sense of loyalty to our considerable past friendship, even though I've let it dissipate somewhat. Anyway, if he can't go, that'll allow me to invite Barbara, which would be great because I think she'd be soo fun to have along, but I just don't want to spend the whole trip watching those two bitch at each other. Ya know? Of course you do.

Anyway, I'm off to watch Sleepless in Seattle (Best Original Screenplay Nominee 1993). Peace.

It's funny how Barb and I get along so well when you're not around...i kinda think you play it up though because honestly there was nothing happeneing between Barbara and I that night...i was just mad at Currin and she was mad that everyone was fighting.

p.s. yes it was her birthday but no i didn't ruin it (or so she told me today at church)
